THE GRID RESEARCH CENTRE

The Grid Research Centre (GRC) pursues research in the areas of grid and cloud computing. The GRC's projects use a model-based approach to enable automation of tool deployment, monitoring, and handling of scientific data in grid and cloud computing environments. Current collaborations include projects with HP Labs, CANARIE and the University of Bath.

The Grid Research Centre was officially launched on September 30, 2004. It is based at the University of Calgary and was formed from members of the TeleSim Group. The TeleSim Group had a long history of work in parallel and distributed simulation technologies.
